WINGATE SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT
This website contains all the information and resources we will cover as part of Geography at Wingate School. It is designed to be used by staff and students to make resources readily available, to share learning and support progress over the duration of the course.
What is geography?
Geography is the study of people and the environment, how they relate and interact, the impact of each on the other, and importantly the processes of change that result. As such geography is an inherently interdisciplinary subject which draws together thinking from the natural sciences, the earth sciences, the arts and the humanities, and links them to draw out complex understanding. Geography is also about posing critical questions about the current state of play across the globe, and pursues the search for answers to these increasingly complex lines of thinking and enquiry.
